Bernardo Silva backed to complete Barcelona move after '£46m' Man City reveal - pundit
Bernardo Silva could quit Man City next summer but will not leave in January, according to Kevin Campbell.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Arsenal and Everton striker claimed Silva has “Barcelona written all over him” with his style of play.
The 28-year-old, who has three years left to run on his Man City contract, has consistently been linked with a move to Barca over the last 18 months.
Spanish outlet Sport reported last week (4 November) that Gerard Pique’s retirement has freed up the funds for Barcelona to make a move for Silva in January.
It is claimed that Xavi sees him as a “game changer” as he attempts to wrestle the title back from Real Madrid.
Sources told Football Insider last month (29 October) that Man City are lining up a “huge” new contract offer for Silva that is set to be worth around £46million in total.

“He’s not going in January,” Campbell told Football Insider.
“If anything is going to happen then fair enough, it’s going to happen at the end of the season.
“Obviously a lot of it depends on Pep and if he’s still going to be the manager.
“There might just be a turnover of certain players again. I think the idea of going to Spain and Barcelona, he has Barcelona written all over him, hasn’t he? With the way he plays.
“I can see that happening in the summer, not January.”
Silva has played 21 times across all competitions this season and has featured in every game.
The Portugal international has scored 50 times and provided 56 assists in 272 games across all competitions for Man City.
