Bernardo Silva now looks likely to remain at Man City beyond the summer transfer window, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O'Rourke revealed that Pep Guardiola would be prepared to let any unhappy player leave the club if their issue cannot be resolved.

This comes after Julian Alvarez hinted that he could be looking for a move away from Manchester this summer due to the weather.

However, he looks to have put any issues behind him and has received reassurances over his place in the squad from Guardiola.

Speculation over Silva's position at City resurfaces every year, but he signed a new three-year deal at the Etihad last summer, and similarities have been drawn to Alvarez's situation.

Bernardo Silva to stay at Man City amid Julian Alvarez speculation

Silva made the switch to Manchester from Monaco in 2017, and has won six Premier League titles, four League Cups, two FA Cups, a Champions League and the Club World Cup in that time.

He has made 355 appearances during his seven years in England, scoring 66 goals and providing 66 assists and remains a vital part of Guardiola's side.

Last season, the Portuguese featured 49 times across all competitions, picking up another 11 goals and ten assists as they lifted the league title again.

Speculation emerged again that he could be looking to leave amid interest from PSG, although no official bid ever arrived.

With City's season set to begin in the community shield against Man United in just over a week, Silva now looks likely to remain at the Etihad.

Alvarez, meanwhile, remains keen on a move away from the club, but sources say Guardiola will hold talks with the forward when he returns from the Olympic Games.
