Bernd Leno sale could part-fund two Arsenal signings as deal agreed - Campbell
Kevin Campbell has backed Arsenal to sell Bernd Leno to Fulham for a fee of £8million.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Gunners striker said the money generated from the 30-year-old’s exit can part-fund a move for Youri Tielemans or Cody Gakpo.
According to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein (31 July), Fulham have reached an £8million agreement with Arsenal for the transfer of Leno.
The Germany international is expected to undergo a medical with the newly-promoted side this week.
He should be signed in time for Fulham’s opener against Liverpool on Saturday.
Leno’s contract at the Emirates is expiring at the end of June next year.

When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the latest, Campbell said: “Arsenal are clearing the decks.
“They could sit there and play hardball until the last knocking of the window, of course they could.
“But right now, they need to get players off the wage bill. They need to get some of the dead wood out.
“Leno has only got a year left on his contract. He might turnaround and say, ‘I’ll stay.’
“If you can get £8million take it and move on. That £8million can go towards a Tielemans or a Gakpo.
“They have to get bodies out to create space to get bodies in.”
Arsenal have made five signings in the summer transfer window.
As quoted by the Evening Standard (31 July), Mikel Arteta wants more new faces at the Emirates.
