Everton have been made the clear favourites to sign Burnley striker Andre Gray this summer, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
BetVictor have priced the Toffees at 4/6 to land the 25-year-old forward before the transfer deadline.
Fellow Premier League side Newcastle trail someway behind with a price of 10/1 in second, while West Brom, West Ham and Tottenham all share odds of 16/1 respectively.
The Liverpool Echo reported earlier in the week that the Toffees had opened talks with Burnley about a transfer for Gray.
It is believed that manager Ronald Koeman is an admirer of the Englishman, who returned nine goals from 32 Premier League encounters last season.
The former Luton and Brentford man has also entered the final year of his contract with the Lancashire-based club, meaning that he could be picked up at a cut of his valuation.
Everton, meanwhile could be on the hunt for a new forward this summer with star Romelu Lukaku expected to depart Goodison Park.
The Merseysiders will also be playing in the Europa League next season, which will extend their fixture list and the club will need to bolster their squad if they are to compete across the competitions.
In other Everton transfer news, the Toffees have received an emphatic response to this mega bid.
