Newcastle are favourites to land Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi this summer, according to the latest bookmaker odds.
Sky Bet have priced the Magpies at 3/1 to snap up the 23-year-old Belgium international ahead of the September 3 transfer deadline.
Premier League rivals Everton trail just behind at 7/2, while cash-rich French side Monaco makes up the top three with odds of 5/1.
Batshuayi transferred to the Premier League just last summer in a £33.2million move from French giants Marseille.
However, despite his high price tag he struggled to break into the Chelsea team that lifted the Premier League title.
The young forward played just 20 times in the league winning campaign last season with his only start coming in the penultimate 4-3 win over Watford.
He managed to contribute five goals in those encounters, while in total he returned nine goals in 28 appearances in all competitions.
Batshuayi may now be keen on a return to France after scoring 23 goals in 50 outings in all competitions last season.
However, Newcastle may also offer him the chance of regular first team football in the Premier League and the opportunity to showcase his true talents.
The Magpies currently have Dwight Gayle, Aleksander Mitrovic and Daryl Murphy and they may now be looking for someone with greater experience of the Premier League.
