Betting latest: Tottenham strong favourites to sign prolific striker after dropping Jan transfer hint
Tottenham have been installed as strong favourites to sign Celtic striker Moussa Dembele in January, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
SkyBet have Spurs priced at 5/1 to snap up Dembele, 21, by the time the next transfer window slams shut after he hinted that he may leave Parkhead in the near future.
Brighton (10/1) are second favourites to land the French goal machine while AC Milan (11/1) and Everton (12/1) are also in the running.
Dembele has been in prolific goal scoring form since joining Celtic from Fulham last year, netting 40 goals in 66 appearances across all competitions with the Scottish champions.
That has understandably led to a lot of speculation linking the Hoops ace with a move away from Glasgow.
On Tuesday, Dembele dropped a huge hint that he may leave Celtic in the upcoming January transfer window.

“I can say it is part of the plan but the plan can change,’ he said when asked if he will stay at Parkhead after January, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“As long as I am here I will give 100 per cent but I don’t know until when. I just focus on my football and give my best for the club and we will see.”
Tottenham are short of fire power upfront away from Harry Kane.
Summer signing Fernando Llorente has scored just one goal since arriving in North London while Dembele has been in top form with Celtic this term, netting eight goals in 17 appearances across all competitions.
In other Tottenham news, this Spurs forward has admitted he wants to leave the club.
