Wolves are second favourites to sign Burnley centre-forward Andre Gray, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.

Sky Bet have priced the West Midlands club at 9/2 to secure the signature of the 26-year-old before the summer transfer window shuts.

This comes after BBC journalist Pat Murphy recently revealed on his personal Twitter account that the Championship side were not interested in Gray.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are currently ahead of a number of Premier League teams who are also credited with an interest in signing the striker this summer, with West Ham United at 7/1, Everton at 16/1 and Newcastle United at 20/1

Premier League side Watford currently lead the way at 7/4 to sign the Englishman this summer.

Wolves struggled to find the back of the net last season, notching up a total of 54 league goals – Nottingham Forest and Bristol City scored more goals and they both finished below Wolves in the table.

Gray enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in the Premier League last season, contributing nine goals and three assists.

The striker’s performances helped Burnley survive in the Premier League for the first time in the history.

Gray would certainly be a fantastic addition to the Wolves squad due to his fine goalscoring record in the Championship, notching up 41 goals in 88 appearances.
