By Will Butcher
Everton and Manchester City are currently joint favourites to sign Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to the latest bookmaker’s odds.
Sky Bet have installed the Toffees along with Pep Guardiola’s side as 7/2 favourites for the 23-year-old to join before the end of the summer transfer window on September 3.
With Pickford at 5/2 to remain with rock-bottom Sunderland, it is expected that the Black Cars academy prospect will leave the Stadium of Light in the summer if they’re relegated.
The duo are out in front, while Liverpool are priced at 5/1 before Premier League trio Bournemouth, Arsenal and Crystal Palace who are all 10/1 to sign the uncapped Englishman.
According to Bleacher Report transfer expert Dean Jones, Pickford is interesting Arsenal, Everton and Manchester City, with summer bids likely for Sunderland’s stopper.

Pickford has starred between the sticks in David Moyes’ side this season, as the 10 players in front of him struggle to keep the ball away from the Sunderland goal.
Sunderland’s number 13 has been subject to constant pressure in his first full season in goal, with the Wearside club winning just once since the turn of the year in all competitions.
Fox Sports claim Pickford is currently second in the Premier League rankings in terms of shots saved, stopping 109 efforts in England’s top flight and second only to Tom Heaton’s 131.
Pickford has a contract in the north east until the summer of 2020 but he could be tempted to leave Moyes’ side if they fail to produce a miracle and are relegated.
In other Everton transfer news, a report has claimed that the Toffees are very likely to sign this veteran striker.
