Liverpool are now regarded as third favourites to win the Premier League this season.

The Reds are rated as 100/30 shots by bookmakers SkyBet to win the title and have been overtaken by Chelsea in the betting.

Manchester City (15/8) remain as the title favourites and are followed by Chelsea at 9/4.

Antonio Conte’s Chelsea are currently on a six-game winning run and have not conceded a single goal in that time, which has seen their odds shorten significantly and take them to the top of the table.

Liverpool have been considered as second favourites for the title for much of the season, but are now expected to face tough competition from the Blues as well as Man City.

Jurgen Klopp’s side dropped two points on Saturday as they slipped to a 0-0 away draw against Southampton, with Roberto Firmino and Nathaniel Clyne both guilty of missing good chances.

The Merseyside club still remain the division’s leading goal scorers after netting 30 in the opening 12 league games.

Chelsea are currently leading the league after their narrow 1-0 victory against Middlesbrough, with Liverpool and Man City both just a point behind them in the table.

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham occupy fourth and fifth-place respectively, so will still have their own title aspirations this season.

Liverpool are chasing their first ever Premier League title and are hoping that frontline of Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Firmino can fire them to success.

In other Liverpool news, Mamadou Sakho has scored in the club’s Under-23s victory.
