Betting update: Rangers installed as favourites to sign 24-year-old goal machine
By Will Butcher
Rangers have been installed as favourites to sign Motherwell striker Louis Moult, according to the latest bookmaker’s odds.
Bet Victor price Scottish giants Rangers at just 3/1 to sign the 24-year-old striker, who has blown away the Scottish Premiership with 13 goals in 26 league outings for Motherwell.
Trailing behind Pedro Caixinha’s side are English Championship side Derby at 4/1, while Aberdeen are 5/1 and Crystal Palace are priced at 8/1.
A huge 14 other clubs from England’s Football League are also credited with a price, with the likes of Brentford, Preston and Birmingham in with a chance of signing Moult.
Scoring 13 goals in the league, Moult has amassed an impressive 16 goals in all competitions as well as providing six assists for Steve Robinson’s side during 29 outings.

However, with Motherwell in a lowly 10th place and only a year left on his contract at Fir Park, Moult could be tempted to leave join Caixinha’s side in the summer transfer window.
The Gers have plenty of strikers available to them, but none have found a consistent run of form this season as Kenny Miller top scored in the league with only nine Scottish Premiership strikes.
If the 54-time Scottish champions do indeed sign Moult in the coming transfer window, the likes of Martyn Waghorn, Michael O’Halloran, Joe Garner and Joe Dodoo may be forced down the pecking order at Ibrox.
In other Rangers transfer news, this midfielder is reportedly expected to leave Glasgow in the summer.
