Aston Villa were among a string of Championship clubs who watched Rangers ace Alfredo Morelos continue his hot goalscoring streak on Friday night, according to a report.
The Scouts in Attendance Twitter account, which provides reliable information about potential transfers, names Villa as one of five English outfits who ran the rule over Morelos in his side’s 2-2 draw against Partick Thistle at Ibrox.

Morelos, nicknamed ‘El Buffalo’, bagged his sixth goal in six league games and his eighth in all competitions from nine matches for the club he joined in the summer.
The former HJK Helsinki star, who was recommended to Gers by their coach Jonatan Johansson, has set Championship scouts on his case following his fine form early in his Scottish career.
The 21-year-old, who is a Colombia Under-20 international, has established himself as the first-choice striker in Pedro Caixinha’s team.
Reading were in the market for a striker in the final days of the transfer window but failed to get Tomer Hemed from Brighton.
Barnsley have successfully plundered Scottish football for talent over the past few years, signing Liam Lindsay from Partick and Steve Mallam from St Mirren this year.
But the Tykes would struggle to beat off competition for Morelos from the division’s heavyweights, with Villa and Derby also reportedly on his trail.
The striker signed a three-year contract when he joined Rangers this summer.
