Alex Bruce insists that Bournemouth striker Josh King would be a “huge gain” for Tottenham if they manage to sign him this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Premier League defender has been left raving over both what he has seen and heard about the Norway international.
Sky Sports report that four of the Premier League’s top six are keen on signing the 28-year-old as he prepares to head into the final year of his contract on the south coast.
Football.London claim that Spurs have kept an eye on the Cherries’ ace for a number of years.
Bruce has lauded the former Manchester United youngster for his “under-the-radar” performances while revealing he has heard great things about the attacker’s character.
Bruce told Football Insider: “I think he’s one of Eddie Howe’s best players and I think he’d be a big loss to Bournemouth.
“He’s one of those players that goes under the radar, goes about his business but is very effective in your team and from what I’ve seen and from what I’ve heard, he’s very, very, very well liked, he’s a really, really strong team member to have.
“He’d be a big loss to Bournemouth but a huge gain for Tottenham if he does go there.”
King, who joined Bournemouth on a free transfer back in 2015, has 46 goals in 154 Premier League appearances to date.
A versatile attacker who has played all across the forward line, he has netted four times this season, with injury keeping him sidelined for nine games.
In other Tottenham news, the first-team squad will be buzzing after a “massive” update.
