Big night ahead for 26-year-old fighting for his career - Three Leeds talking points ahead of clash v Burnley

By Editor Wayne Veysey

Thomas Christiansen is expected to ring the changes as Leeds United prepare to face Burnley in the League Cup on Tuesday.

The Elland Road boss could change virtually the entire team that lost at Millwall on Saturday as he gives well-earned breathers to the players responsible for the team’s place at the Championship summit.

This will mean that the likes of league ever-presents Eunan O’Kane, Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling, Pablo Hernandez and Felix Wiedwald could be omitted as well as Vurnon Anita, Samuel Saiz, Ezgjan Alioski and Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

Christiansen has already confirmed that Pontus Jansson will miss the Burnley match with a minor injury he sustained at the New Den.

A good display against Premier League opposition would be the perfect tonic for Leeds before their next Championship game against Ipswich at Elland Road on Saturday.
