'Biggest fraud', 'Miss of the season' - Some Liverpool fans are done with Darwin Nunez after 'unreal' miss v Luton
Liverpool fans are done with Darwin Nunez after he missed an “unreal” sitter in their 1-1 draw against Luton Town on Sunday evening (5 November).
The Uruguayan failed to convert just inches away from an empty net and blasted the ball over the bar with the game at 0-0, with Luton scoring 10 minutes later through Tahith Chong.
Liverpool salvaged a point at the death through Luis Diaz but the Hatters blunted Jurgen Klopp’s side for the majority of the clash and were just minutes away from a historic three points.
Nunez provided the best chance to give Liverpool the win, but their solitary point leaves them with more work to do to catch Tottenham and Manchester City.
The 24-year-old scored a screamer in the Reds’ 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest last weekend, but his luck has run out along with the fans’ patience.
One fan dubbed Nunez the “worst one” in the league after the “unreal” miss.
This fan called his effort the “miss of the season”.
One fan wants Nunez out of the club and slammed him for being a “fraud”.
One supporter put all the blame for Liverpool dropping points on Nunez.
One fan has lost all faith in the striker as he is a “waste of time” on the pitch.
The miss tipped this Liverpool fan over the edge despite his continued support of Nunez.
One fan was frustrated when Luton went ahead and insisted the Reds should have been well ahead, but Nunez’s most recent miss was costly.
This fan wants Nunez axed from the starting line-up but also namedropped some other underperforming Reds.
