Sources: Blackburn Rovers make approach for Leeds star Summerville
Blackburn Rovers have made an approach to sign Leeds United sensation Crysencio Summerville, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The 20-year-old, who has also been linked with Rangers this month, has broken into the Leeds side this season and made seven appearances in total.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that promotion-chasing Blackburn have asked about taking Summerville on loan as a direct replacement for Ian Poveda.
The wide attacker was forced to cancel his loan at Ewood Park and return to his parent club due to a serious ankle injury he sustained in November.
Leeds are likely to wait until after their FA Cup clash against West Ham on Sunday before giving the green light for Summerville to leave.
He is expected to play some part in the fixture, and could even start the match if Marcelo Bielsa plays a weakened side.

One major consideration for the United manager is the injuries that have wreaked such havoc to his plans this season.
Key stars Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are sidelined until at least March and Bielsa revealed at his Friday media briefing that Joe Gelhardt and Tyler Roberts are the latest to join the club’s lengthy injury list.
Gelhardt, who injured his ankle in training on Thursday, and Roberts, who strained a muscle last weekend, will both be out for three weeks.
With Patrick Bamford and Rodrigo on the comeback trail after lengthy absences of their own, it means Bielsa could wait until the end of the month before letting Summerville go.
