Blockbuster deal could leave former Celtic top scorer out in the cold
It seems only a matter of time before Celtic confirm the club record signing of Odsonne Edouard.
The 20-year-old has signed a four year deal with the Hoops according to French sport website RMC Sport, with the Bhoys reportedly paying around £8.7million to get the deal over the line.
With the Hoops paying more for the Frenchman than any other signing in the club’s history, then you imagine that he will start almost every game for the Bhoys.
At the time of writing, Moussa Dembele is still at the Hoops and despite injury last season he looked back to his best towards the end of last season, and looks set to be a key man for the Hoops – should he stay with the club – next season.
So there could be one player that is left out in the cold and rarely features for the Hoops – Leigh Griffiths.

Now there is no way that the Hoops should consider selling Griffiths, he’s too good a goalscorer for that, and the Bhoys don’t want to be left with only two strikers on their books.
But there is a good chance that Griffiths is left as third choice striker behind the French duo, and that will be difficult to take for a player who was Hoops top scorer with 40 goals in 2015-16, and who has scored 98 goals in total for the club.
Griffiths will undoubtedly get chances to play next season, but unless some drastically changes he is likely to be the third choice striker at the club, and it remains to be seem how happy he will be with that situation.
