Bodo/Glimt could accept £10m Celtic offer for Kasper Hogh

Celtic will need to stump up £10million to prise long-time target Kasper Hogh from Bodo/Glimt in the upcoming summer window.

Hogh was linked with a move to Celtic in January as he shone for Bodo in the Champions League.

The Hoops saw an enquiry for his services turned away towards the end of the winter window, and his stock has continued to rise ahead of the summer.

Celtic remain interested in the 25-year-old, but as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, will have to splash out around £10m to sign him ahead of next season.

With the end of the Premiership season now close as they chase another title, Celtic’s transfer plans are set to accelerate in the coming weeks while they also look to appoint their next manager.

Bodo/Glimt have set new £10m price tag for Kasper Hogh

Hogh scored 17 goals in 28 Eliteserien games during Bodo’s 2025 campaign, while he netted six goals in 14 Champions League appearances to help fire them to the round of 16.

Celtic face an uphill battle to sign him in the summer due to his European heroics, with several top clubs across the continent reportedly keeping tabs on his availability.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “He’s probably a player still on the radar for Celtic, no doubts about that. They looked at a potential deal in January, but couldn’t get near a fee that would see Bodo cash in.

“This summer, it’ll be a real difficult deal to do for Celtic because of the price tag that it will take to prise him away from Bodo.

“You’re probably looking at £10m at least, and whether Celtic can get to those numbers is debatable.”

Celtic will need to spend a similar fee to sign Soufiane El-Faouzi

Celtic know that they need to splash the cash to stay ahead of the competition this summer after Hearts’ emergence as genuine title contenders.

Sources have exclusively told Football Insider that Schalke midfielder El-Faouzi is a target for Celtic following an impressive season in which he has helped them win the German second tier.

The 23-year-old has impressed Celtic’s scouts over the last few months, but a deal will not come cheap as Schalke demand around £10m for his services.
