Middlesbrough have opened talks to sign Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki before the close of the transfer window, Football Insider understands.
Middlesbrough boss Tony Pulis has identified Poland international Grosicki as a top target as he wants to add more pace and creativity to his attacking options at the Riverside.
A source close to the club has told Football Insider sources that the Championship hopefuls could face competition for Grosicki’s signature, with French side Monaco also keen on bringing the former Rennes star back to Ligue 1.
Grosicki has impressed again this season for Hull with four goals and six assists in 22 Championship games for the Tigers.
Middlesbrough are determined to bolster their attack before Thursday’s transfer deadline and they see Grosicki as someone who could boost their bid for promotion back to the Premier League.
It remains to be seen if Hull would consider letting Grosicki leave as they have hopes of their own of reaching the play-offs this season.
The 30-year-old joined Hull in January 2017 and he has made 76 appearances for the club, scoring 13 goals and providing 17 assists.
