Junior Kroupi: Liverpool told Bournemouth will accept 'huge' offer

Junior Kroupi has emerged as a leading target for Liverpool as Bournemouth brace for offers in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a wonderful season in the Premier League with the Cherries, as he scored 13 league goals in 33 appearances.

Those displays have placed him firmly on the radar of elite clubs including the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.

However, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Bournemouth will demand a "huge" fee if they are to sell Kroupi this summer.

The Cherries hope they can keep hold of the forward for at least one more season, but with Liverpool among those stepping up interest, it could prove difficult.

Could Liverpool make a move to sign Kroupi Junior?

Football Insider revealed in April that Bournemouth are prepared to sell Kroupi for the right price as they are aware they will struggle to keep him around.

Liverpool are among a number of clubs keeping tabs on the forward following a serious injury blow to Hugo Ekitike, who has been ruled out until 2027.

Meanwhile, the appointment of Andoni Iraola could provide another boost given their relationship, if Liverpool are prepared to meet his asking price.

"Liverpool will certainly be interested in Kroupi," Brown told Football Insider.

"He will be on their radar, as he will with most of the top clubs in Europe because of the season he's just had for Bournemouth.

"When a 19-year-old is performing the way he has been at this level, it's always going to attract interest from the biggest clubs not just in England but in Europe.

"From Bournemouth's point of view, of course they would like to keep him, but they've shown before they're willing to sell players.

"If somebody like Liverpool comes in with a huge offer for him, I'm sure they'll be prepared to accept it and then they can go and find a replacement."

How does Kroupi feel about leaving Liverpool?

Given the level of interest in Kroupi and the standard of club looking to do a deal, there is a growing feeling he could be tempted away from the Vitality Stadium.

He is likely to have ambitions of a step up from Bournemouth in the long-term, but there have been some suggestions he could continue his development there.

Despite that, Football Insider revealed in April that Kroupi is interested in leaving Bournemouth with Liverpool and Man United firmly among his suitors.

He played a key role in leading the club into the Europa League, which will be a boost to their plans, but may not be enough to hang on to him.

There is a growing feeling that Kroupi will look to move on given the level of interest as he could further his career by taking a significant step up.
