48-time Brazil ace has 'dream' of playing in the PL and hints at move to Arsenal
By Matt Bullin
Brazil star Hulk has revealed he supports Arsenal, loves Wenger’s style of playing and still dreams of playing in the Premier League.
The 30-year-old currently plies his trade at Chinese outfit Shanghai SIPG, following a sensational £46million move from Zenit St. Petersburg last summer.
Prior to his move to Zenit the 48-time Brazil international had been linked with a move to Chelsea, but he has now revealed it is Arsenal who he supports.
In an interview with Sport TV, as quoted by the London Evening Standard, he also stated it is still a dream of his to play in the English top flight.
Hulk said: “It’s always been a dream, it’s a very competitive championship and the stadiums are full in every game, no matter what the team.

“I always follow the league and I have always supported Arsenal.
“[I’m a fan of] Wenger’s way of playing, but unfortunately he has not won trophies in recent years.”
Hulk has been in superb form for Shanghai this term and has bagged eight goals and provided nine assists in 14 league and cup games.
The Brazilian ace has previously played for Porto and Zenit, but before that he played for several Japanese clubs, despite starting his career in his home country at Sau Paulo.
The powerful forward has scored 11 times in his 48 appearances for Brazil.
Football Insider verdict
Hulk’s admission comes as a surprise as despite being linked with a move to England before he has never shown much interest. It is highly doubtful he will make a move now, at 30 he is over-the-hill and well past his best. Adding to that, his wages in China will be astronomical, and the Gunners are unlikely to be able to match them. He has also never featured in one of Europe’s top leagues, which leaves him somewhat as an unknown entity, despite his star status.
In other Arsenal news, Wenger has entered a four-horse race for this 23-year-old Premier League ace.
