Brendan Rodgers delivers critical injury update on Celtic 20-year-old
By Danny Wright
Brendan Rodgers has eased the fears of Celtic fans after saying Moussa Dembele is not injured.
The 20-year-old had to be lifted to his feet at the end of Sunday’s narrow 2-1 victory over Dundee after he was seen holding his hamstring towards the end of the game
However the Hoops boss has since confirmed that it is nothing serious.
“He just overstretched a little bit towards the end but I think he’s fine,” said Rodgers, as quoted by the Daily Record.
Jozo Simunovic and Stuart Armstrong scored either side of the interval to help Celtic back to winning ways after their 1-1 draw with Rangers last week, which was only the second time the Bhoys have failed to win a domestic fixture this season.

Fayssal Ed-Bakhtaoui scored in the 76th minute which meant it was a nervy ending at Dens Park.
However Rodgers’ side managed to hang on to all three points and reaffirm their 25 point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
Dembele has now gone two games without scoring for Celtic despite smashing 13 goals in the seven games prior to the Old Firm stalemate.
The ex-Fulham striker has only missed two matches for the Hoops this season and has scored 32 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions.
There are no fixtures for the next two weeks now due to the international break and Celtic’s next match is away at Hearts on April 2.
