Nottingham Forest fans are urging the club to re-sign Brennan Johnson from Tottenham after the latest twist in his nightmare spell in North London.

Johnson scored the winner in Spurs' 2-1 win against Coventry City on 18 September, but his muted celebration spoke volumes about his current situation.

It has been a turbulent spell for Johnson in North London, while Spurs fans continue to grow frustrated with their performances in recent weeks.

Johnson left Forest in a £47.5million move to Tottenham in the summer of 2023, and has since made 39 appearances under Ange Postecoglou, scoring six goals and providing ten assists.

His latest contribution saw Spurs progress into the next round of the League Cup in the 92nd minute after struggling throughout the game.

However, as footage of his downplayed celebration was shared on social media, fans at the City Ground are insisting he should "come home".

It appears, like many others, that Johnson plays his best football when he feels loved and supported by the crowd, as he was during his time at the City Ground.

Since moving to Tottenham, the increased expectation and scrutiny that came with it have clearly dented his confidence as fans grow frustrated with his displays.

As a result, many Forest supporters are sending their love towards their former star, and others have insisted he "will" return to the City Ground.
