Alan Hutton has tipped Celtic full-back Greg Taylor to take his chance in the first-team after seeing Jonny Hayes forced off through injury against Livingston.
The former Aston Villa and Scotland full-back, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, says that the busy festive period represents a fantastic opportunity for the 22-year-old to prove himself at Parkhead after struggling for game time.
Neil Lennon confirmed at his post-match press conference that Hayes was forced off with a suspected dislocated shoulder on Saturday, with medical tests set to determine the extent of the damage.

While Lennon also has Boli Bolingoli to call upon at left-back, the former Rapid Vienna man a regular among the starting XI, Hutton has tipped Taylor to pick up plenty of action and impress his manager and the fans.
Hutton told Football Insider: “They’re quite heavily loaded in the left-back area and obviously Jonny Hayes has come in and done well. It’s not nice to see your fellow professional get injured but sometimes that’s the opportunity you need.
“He’s got a chance now, it’s a very busy period for Celtic so there’s going to be lots of game time and lots of opportunities for him to go and prove his worth.
“He’s done brilliant at Kilmarnock, he’s made the move to Celtic so he’ll be bursting to show everybody what he’s capable of.”
Taylor, who came off the bench to replace Hayes on Saturday, has just two appearances under his belt for the Hoops, only one of those coming in the Scottish Premiership.
He is already well-experienced in Scotland’s top-flight despite his age, playing in over 100 league games during his time at Kilmarnock.
