Michael Brown has been left raving after Leeds United confirmed the “big signing” of Diego Llorente.
The former Leeds midfielder, speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, admits he is very impressed the Whites have managed to secure the services of such a “renowned” player.

The five-cap Spain international started the season in Sociedad’s starting XI but was left as an unused sub for his final game at the club against former club Real Madrid.
Brown believes that Llorente is the “right calibre” of player for Leeds and insists he looks like an exciting signing for the Elland Road faithful.
Brown told Football Insider: “You are impressed because it’s been mentioned for some while now, thinking: ‘Are they going to do it?’
“He’s the right calibre, it’s experience, he’s late 20s now, the club’s he’s played at – magnificent. He’s an international player so it’s a big signing for them.
“It’s a big signing because he’s such a renowned name, I think that’s the key isn’t it, that experience will be great to have.”
Llorente, who came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid, has joined Germany international Robin Koch in bolstering Leeds’ defence over the transfer window.
The 24-year-old has started and played the full 90 minutes of the Whites’ two Premier League games this season but has conceded a penalty in both.
