Alex Bruce believes Wednesday’s draw with QPR was the last time fans will see Grady Diangana in a West Brom shirt.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider assistant editor Russell Edge, the former Premier League defender admits he would be stunned if the 22-year-old was allowed to leave parent club West Ham after his sensational form this season.
Diangana played a huge role in getting the Baggies promoted as he both scored and set up a goal in the 2-2 draw with QPR, with the point enough to secure second place ahead of Brentford.
He was a constant threat for Slaven Bilic’s men with a total of eight goals and seven assists to his name.
However, Bruce believes the winger will be playing with West Ham, rather than West Brom, in the Premier League next season.
Asked if Diangana had played his last game in a West Brom shirt, Bruce told Football Insider: “Well I think it would be bizarre if West Ham don’t at least have a look at him next season after the season that he’s had for West Brom.
“He was exceptional last night with his trickery, skill and creativity that he can bring to a team, as we’ve seen through the whole season.
“It’ll be a little bit daft if they don’t at least give him an opportunity back at West Ham.”
Diangana played a total of 31 times for the Baggies this season and only missed out due to injury over the winter period.
He has 21 games under his belt for West Ham’s senior side, 17 of which have come in the Premier League.
In other West Brom news, Danny Mills has made a big warning over a big-name Baggie.
