Long-serving goalkeeper Tim Krul has sent a heartfelt Twitter message to Newcastle fans following his loan move to Premier League rivals Brighton.
The 29-year-old Dutchman has moved out on his third loan deal in just a year after joining the Seagulls on deadline day, having spent the last campaign back in Holland with both Ajax and AZ Alkmaar.
He is currently into his 12th year at the north east giants after moving across from ADO Den Haag in the summer of 2005.
Krul’s contract is also set to expire at Newcastle next summer and with his days at St. James’ Park now looking numbered the goalkeeper gave his thanks to those who have supported him for so many years via his personal Twitter account in a message on Friday afternoon.

Krul has played 185 times in total for Newcastle, keeping 53 clean sheets, while conceding a huge 279 goals.
His last appearance for the Magpies also came all the way back in March 2015 when Manchester City ran out huge 6-1 victors after Sergio Aguero bagged a brilliant five goals.
However, Newcastle fans will surely reciprocate Krul’s feelings and will hope the Dutchman can regain his past form at Brighton.
In other Newcastle news, a winner has been named in the race for this French forward wanted by the Magpies (not Remy).
