Kevin Campbell has tipped West Ham to make Tomas Soucek one of their top earners ahead of the summer transfer window.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker insisted the “phenomenal” 26-year-old has outplayed his current contract at the London Stadium.

This site revealed on Tuesday that the club are set to offer the Czech Republic international a new and improved contract in light of his form.

Soucek has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers this season, with his 27 appearances in the division yielding eight goals.

Football Insider understands Manchester United are keeping tabs on the centre-midfielder’s progression in London.

Campbell heaped praise on Soucek and the partnership he has forged with Declan Rice.

“Soucek has been phenomenal in the middle of the park with Rice,” he told Football Insider.

“He is so useful in both boxes, he can score goals and defend well. He has been a hero in there with Rice this season.

“He fully deserves a new contract. I do not know whether he will be the top earner but I think he will definitely be one of the top earners. He has definitely outplayed his current contract, that is for sure.”

Soucek initially moved to West Ham on loan from Slavia Prague in January 2020, before signing on a permanent basis last summer for £15million.

He has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at the London Stadium.
