Kevin Campbell is excited by the prospect of Arsenal signing Shakhtar Donetsk winger Manor Solomon in the summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners striker insisted the club are approaching their most important summer transfer window in 15 years.
Solomon, 21, told Israeli news outlet Sport5 this week that he has spoken to English sides regarding a move to the Premier League.
According to Football London, super agent Pini Zahavi is brokering talks between club and player and has been in touch with Arsenal technical director Edu.
The Israeli winger has five goals and one assist to his name in 17 appearances this season.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the potential arrival of Solomon this summer, Campbell said: “He sounds exciting.
“I have seen little bits of him and I like what I see.
“The key is – can he do it in the Premier League? If they sign him they will obviously believe that he can.
“He has a lot of qualities that Mikel Arteta wants, qualities that he believes will benefit Arsenal and you have to back the manager.
“This is the most important summer for Arsenal in 15 years when you consider the people he got out of the club in January.
“The rebuild really starts this summer. It is all about getting the correct pieces for the slots.”
As quoted by Football London, Solomon told Sport5: “There are talks with teams from England.
“There are things that can happen in the summer. My dream is to play in England and it also seems to me the most realistic option for me. And teams in England can pay.
