Kevin Campbell has heaped praise on Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for their influence behind the scenes at Arsenal.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Highbury favourite said he’s spotted a notable change in Aubameyang’s attitude this season.
The Gunners qualified for the quarter-finals of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night after a 2-0 win over Leeds United.
As quoted by Football.London ahead of the clash (25th October), Mikel Arteta revealed Aubameyang and Lacazette are leading by example on the training ground.
The Arsenal boss added how the “incredible” change has benefitted the team and themselves.
When asked by Football Insider for his assessment of Arteta’s comments, Campbell said: “Both players have been criticised during their time at Arsenal, 100 per cent.

“You can see that Aubameyang’s attitude is a lot different this season.
“Through his nature, he takes things easier. He is a very relaxed person. I don’t think that is what is required at Arsenal right now though.
“The elder players have to get a grip of that dressing room and mould these younger players.
“It is amazing to hear Aubameyang and Lacazette are taking it on their shoulders. It is massively important for Arsenal that these two are taking on that mantle.”
Speaking on the duo’s influence this season, Arteta said: “Human beings change themselves every six months, they have all new selves, and it’s incredible…
“They [Aubameyang and Lacazette] are doing that for the benefit of the club, but for sure for the benefit of themselves.”
