Campbell makes 'honest' Tottenham claim after £479m Arsenal reveal
Arsenal have lost a number of “quality players” over the past year so Tottenham’s higher squad ranking with the CIES Football Observatory is understandable, according to Kevin Campbell.
The former Gunners striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted “it has not been hunky-dory” at the Emirates in recent times.
According to the CIES Football Observatory (4th October), Arsenal’s squad is the 14th most valuable in Europe and the sixth most in England at £479.2m.
The Gunners are narrowly behind their north London rivals Tottenham (£483.4m) in the pecking order.
Arsenal spent more than any other Premier League club in the summer transfer window.
Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Martin Odegaard, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Albert Lokonga and Nuno Tavares came through the door for just under £150m.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs for his assessment of the two squads, Campbell made the surprising claim that Spurs deserve to rank higher.
“Over the last year Arsenal have been getting rid of their quality players,” he said. “There is a lot of experienced players who have left the club over the past year and a bit.
“It has not been hunky-dory for Arsenal. If I’m honest, I think it might be right that Tottenham’s squad is worth a few more quid than ours.
“Listen, Tottenham have a more mature squad than Arsenal though. It will be interesting to see where they both rank in a couple of seasons because there are some great youngsters at Arsenal.”
