Tottenham have the firepower to blow Arsenal and plenty of Premier League rivals away this season.
That is according to Kevin Campbell, the former Gunners striker speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the “amazing” revival of his old club’s arch rivals.
Joe Mourinho’s side go into tomorrow’s north London derby at the new White Hart Lane top of the Premier League on the back of a series of performances that have caught Campbell’s attention.
He is concerned about the huge potential of a squad that was strengthened by seven summer signings.
“Spurs have got a lot of quality players in that squad,” he told Football Insider. “They’ve got internationals all over the shop and they’ve bought in Gareth Bale, someone who knows how to do it and with the winning mentality.
“Am I worried about Spurs? Yes, I am, to be honest. They are trouble, for Arsenal and plenty of other teams.
“You look at the quality in that attack – Harry Kane, Son, Gareth Bale, Lucas Moura, [Steven] Bergwijn – it’s scary. Then you’ve got [Tanguy] Ndombele and [Giovani] Lo Celso behind them.
“Dele Alli is nowhere near the team and he was one of the best young players in the world a few years ago.
“They are not as strong as Liverpool and Man City but they’ve turned it around compared to where they were.
“It’s amazing it’s happened so quickly, but Mourinho knows what he’s doing.”
