Campbell tells Kroenke to write £200m cheque after finance guru's 'huge' reveal
Kevin Campbell has urged Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke to write a cheque for £200million this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Gunners and Everton striker claimed £100million worth of investment in the next transfer window is not enough to make Mikel Arteta’s side competitors again.
Football Insider columnist Kieran Maguire claimed the London club have £120million “to play with” after taking out a fresh bank loan confirmed by Companies House.
Arsenal will also look to offload a number of fringe players when the transfer window opens next week and it could boost Mikel Arteta’s transfer budget.
Hector Bellerin, Eddie Nketiah, Matteo Guendouzi, Sead Kolasinac, Lucas Torreira and Willian are but some of the names expected to depart this summer.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs how much investment was needed at the Emirates, Campbell said: “I will be honest, I don’t know if £100million would be enough.

“It would be nice if they could invest £500million!
“£100million does not get you much in the transfer market these days. If you want to sign quality £100million would only get you two decent players. If you want to sign a top, top player like a Grealish you need to be spending £80million.
“If Stan Kroenke would write a cheque for £200million now I would take it. I think that’s how much money needs to be invested into this side to make the challengers again.
“It’s a huge summer for Arsenal.”
