Campbell tips Celtic to add 'real firepower' this month after source's transfer update
Kevin Campbell has tipped Celtic to sign “real firepower” this month as they attempt to “unseat” Rangers atop the Scottish Premiership.
The former Arsenal striker, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted adding more forwards would allow them to “move and shake” their lineup as they continue to fight in domestic and European competition.
This site revealed on Monday (10 January) that Celtic have made it a top priority to sign two more forwards before the close of the transfer window.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that the Hoops are now actively scouring the market to bring in a new wide forward
Ange Postecoglou’s side are also working on making loan star Jota’s Parkhead stay permanent.
Campbell suggested a wealth of attacking options could prove pivotal to unlocking defences as the Hoops attempt to retake the Scottish Premiership at the first time of asking.

“They need some real firepower, and that’s what they want,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.
“They’re going up against Rangers and trying to unseat them, so they’re really going to need it.
“Top squads have got to be big now and getting another one in allows Celtic to move and shake things around to try and hurt the opposition.
“You may need a different set of attackers in different situations, so why not bring another one in? As long as they have the money, go and do it.”
Celtic have already added forward Daizen Maeda as part of an early-window triple swoop.
Postecoglou’s side have also signed Yosuke Ideguchi and Reo Hatate – with Irish striker Johnny Kenny also joining the club.
