Campbell 'wowed' by what what he saw Rice do pitch-side amid West Ham latest
Kevin Campbell fears Manchester City will dominate the Premier League for years if they sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal striker is in awe of the 22-year-old after watching him “very closely” from pitch-side when the Hammers played Everton on 17th October.
Rice was the subject of great transfer speculation in the summer but remained at the London Stadium beyond the deadline.
Speaking on his Here We Go podcast (20th October), Fabrizio Romano revealed City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all racing to sign the midfielder.
The England international’s contract with the Irons expires in the summer of 2024.
When asked by Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs for his assessment of Rice’s future, Campbell said:

“I watched him very closely on Sunday and wow, he is very good. When you take into consideration his age as well, it’s remarkable.
“I said Man United should have gone and got him in the summer. I think they’re regretting that now.
“If he goes to City, they’re going to start to dominate again, I’m telling you.
“I was mightily impressed with him against Everton. He’s a very good player and he’s only going to get better.”
Rice has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers once again this season.
He has contributed two goals and two assists in 10 appearances across all competitions this season.
