'He can get past you or through you' - Ayling names Leeds most skillful player
By Will Butcher
Luke Ayling has named Pablo Hernandez as Leeds most skillful player, citing his ability to nutmeg players at will.
Hernandez, 31, has gone off the boil in recent matches, after sparkling in his early days as a Leeds player following his move from Qatari side Al-Arabi.
However, speaking to Leeds’ official Twitter account, Ayling claimed Hernandez was the club’s most skillful player and revealed how the Spaniard had embarrassed Liam Bridcutt on the training ground.
The former Bristol City right-back told how playmaker Hernandez had nutmegged captain Bridcutt, humorously claiming that ‘Skip’ is still at Thorp Arch looking for the ball.
“I’d say Pab. He can meg you from all kinds of angles. You’ll have your legs shut and he can either get past you or through you; it’s madness,” Ayling said.

“He put one through Skip’s legs the other day. He’s on the touchline, nowhere to go, and put one through and Skip is still out there trying to find the ball, bless him.”

Garry Monk’s side will be desperate to see four-time Spain international Hernandez rediscover the kind of form that earned him a permanent Elland Road move back in January.
Hernandez is expected to start in his familiar number 10 role against Brentford at Griffin Park on Tuesday night, as Leeds look to bounce back from Sunday’s loss to play-off rivals Reading.
Providing the creative spark in a side that have defied pre-season expectations to sit in a lofty fifth position, Hernandez has scored four goals and laid on another eight in his 30 outings.
In other Leeds news, Andrea Radrizzani is reportedly ready to make a major overhaul.
