Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is planning to push for a move away from the club this summer, sources have told Football Insider

Kelleher is keen to be a number one elsewhere after seeing his opportunities limited at Anfield over the past few years.

The Republic of Ireland international knows he will always play second fiddle to first-choice stopper Alisson Becker while the Brazilian remains on Merseyside.

The Reds value the 25-year-old at around £20-£22million as he looks to move on once the transfer window reopens next month, with his current contract set to expire in 2026.

Caoimhin Kelleher could leave Liverpool this summer

Kelleher has enjoyed his best season yet at Liverpool after making 26 starts across all competitions during the past campaign.

The goalkeeper recorded five clean sheets along the way as he played every minute for the Reds on their way to lifting the Carabao Cup in February this year.

Klopp previously convinced Kelleher to stay, but a summer exit is now likely after the German has brought his nine-year spell at Anfield to an end.

The goalkeeper has only made 47 appearances for Liverpool since joining as a 16-year-old in 2015.

He has operated as a fine backup to Allison over the past few years, but with the Brazilian under contract until 2027, it’s unlikely Kelleher will be promoted to No.1 anytime soon.
