Celtic backed to beat Premier League sides to Carter-Vickers as offer reported - pundit
Paul Robinson has backed Celtic to win the race to sign Cameron Carter-Vickers from Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs keeper raved about how attractive a move to Parkhead would be for the 23-year-old.
The Daily Record reported earlier this month (1st August) that Celtic are in the hunt for the centre-back, but have seen a loan offer rebuffed.
Football Insider revealed in July that Spurs had upped their asking price for the USA international to £5million.
This came after Carter-Vickers’ contract extension option was exercised by the club.
As detailed by this site, Newcastle United have also shown interest in the USA international.

The Daily Record also names Norwich City, Bournemouth, Club Brugge and Anderlecht as his other suitors.
However, Robinson suggested Celtic should be able to beat their rivals to his capture.
He told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs: “I think he would be a success at Celtic.
“They’re in a real transition period now so he has a good opportunity to become part of the ‘new guard’ under the new manager.
“They started the season poorly, but they will pick up as it progresses.
“I was really impressed with the free agents they’ve got in like James McCarthy and Joe Hart.
“If you look at the opportunities for a player like Carter-Vickers then I think Celtic will be right up there as one of the most attractive.”
Carter-Vickers is yet to make his Premier League bow despite breaking through Spurs’ academy in recent years.
The 23-year-old has been on six Championship loans since 2017, the most recent being a season-long spell with Bournemouth.
In other news, this pundit was blown away by Odsonne Edouard’s successor.
