Celtic board told to hand Postecoglou war chest after 'incredible' £112m reveal - pundit
Paul Robinson has claimed “it is incredible” Celtic have generated £112million from player trading over the past nine years.
However, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs and Leeds United goalkeeper said Hoops supporters will care little about the club’s finances while Rangers hold the Scottish Premiership title.
As revealed by Swiss Ramble (November 8th), Celtic have generated £114million more than their Glasgow rivals in player trading since 2002.
It comes after Rangers announced operating losses of £23.5million in their annual accounts for the year ending 30th June 2021.
Robinson urged Celtic’s board to make funds available to Postecoglou in the January window.
“It is incredible from a financial point of view,” he told Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs.

“I think a lot of Celtic fans would take Rangers’ loss if it meant winning the title last year.
“To run such a huge football club with a player profit like that is some achievement in this day and age.
“There is a lot of good quality players that they have lost and not replaced though. There is the shoots of a recovery under Postecoglou but he could do with some more money going back into the side. Hopefully he is given funds to strengthen in January.”
Celtic embarked on a squad overhaul in the summer window just gone.
According to transfermarkt, 12 new signings were welcomed to Parkhead for a total sum of just over £20million.
