By Danny Wright
Celtic have made five changes to their team for Wednesday’s clash with Partick Thistle at Parkhead.
It was announced on the club’s official Twitter page that Brendan Rodgers has opted to axe in-form Stuart Armstong, 25, from Sunday’s win at Hearts with the five changes meaning that Erik Sviatchenko, Cristian Gamboa, Eboue Kouassi, Nir Bitton and Emilio Izaguirre all return to the side.

Captain Scott Brown doesn’t feature in the squad, neither does Dedryck Boyata and James Forrest.
Kieran Tierney is dropped to the bench.
Strikers Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths will miss out for the second game in a row meaning that Patrick Roberts will once again start up front.

There is also good news that Tom Rogic has been named on the bench and could take part in his first piece of action since December.
The Bhoys romped home to a 5-0 victory at Tynecastle in their last outing which secured their sixth consecutive Scottish Premiership title.
Rodgers’ side are currently unbeaten in domestic competition this season and have only dropped four points in their league campaign.
They could become the first team to win the league without a loss since Rangers achieved the feat over 100 years ago in 1898-99.
History will be on Celtic’s side on Wednesday night as they have beat Partick in all of their last 24 meetings.
Following Aberdeen’s narrow 1-0 win against Inverness on Tuesday, the Hoops can only hope to extend their lead back to 25 points.
Partick have enjoyed a strong league campaign and sit sixth in the standings.
They are currently unbeaten in their last six Scottish Premiership matches in a run that extends back to February 4.
In other Celtic news, the club are reportedly in talks with this £25million-rated Champions League midfielder.
