Fulham have joined the chase to sign Peterborough United forward Siriki Dembele after watching him in action last week, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.

Demebele has been attracting the interest of a number of clubs, including Celtic, Wolves and Crystal Palace.

An industry source has told Football Insider that Fulham are also keen on landing the Posh attacker after scouting him in last Tuesday's 1-0 win over Plymouth.

The 24-year-old delivered an electrifying display as he set up the game's only goal for his fifth assist of the campaign.

Dembele has also weighed in with five goals from his 13 League One appearances.

He could be the latest in a long line of dazzling forwards to shine for Peterborough before being lured away for a massive fee.

The likes of Ivan Toney, Britt Britt Assombalonga, Jack Marriott and Dwight Gayle are among those who have helped earn the third-tier club more than £40million of transfer fees in recent years.

Peterborough value Dembele at around the £5million mark and that is expected to be enough to seal a deal in January.

He is regarded as one of the most exciting players in the Football League.

The Peterborough talent was a standout performer for the Posh during the second half of last season and built up a formidable partnership with striker Toney in attack.

A versatile winger who can operate on either flank, he has carried that form into the new campaign.

Dembele joined the League One side from Grimsby Town back in 2018 and has gone on to play a total of 92 times for the club, with 18 goals and 21 assists to his name.
