Exeter City reject six-figure Peterborough bid for Randall as Celtic and Norwich City line up offers
Peterborough United have made the first move for Exeter City star Joel Randall but face rival interest from Celtic and Norwich City, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The winger, 21, was the subject of three failed bids from Charlton Athletic in January after lighting up League Two.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Peterborough have had a six-figure bid for Randall knocked back by Exeter.
The fourth-tier club are hopeful of securing a higher fee for the breakout star.
Exeter expect to lose Randall this summer with a year remaining on his contract.
Expected bids from Celtic and Norwich could push up the asking price for the youngster, which Lee Bowyer claimed in January was “around £1million”.

Peterborough’s rejected bid paves the way for the Hoops to swoop for a player that interested them in January.
Randall, who is predominantly a left-sided attacker but can operate on both flanks, scored 10 goals and provided five assists for Exeter from 32 matches last season.
He has been at Exeter City since he was 11 and is a product of the same academy that has produced Ollie Watkins and Ethan Ampadu in recent years.
Exeter manager Matt Taylor has hailed the talent of Randall and claimed he was a “standout player” last season with “phenomenal running stats”.
Randall shot to prominence last term after five loan spells in non-league football by the age of 20.
