Celtic face 'almighty' transfer task as 'big' Cameron Carter-Vickers claim made after Sky reveal - pundit
Alan Hutton has admitted Cameron Carter-Vickers’ future is the “big question mark” at Celtic ahead of the summer transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland international insisted the Hoops face an “almighty” task trying to replace the 24-year-old Tottenham loanee if he does not stay past the summer.
As quoted by Football Scotland (6 May), Ange Postecoglou confirmed the club are in talks to sign Carter-Vickers on a permanent basis from Spurs.
When asked by Sky Sports (14 May) what was next, the defender remained coy, saying: “We’ll see”.
However, he did admit he has been “loving every minute” of his time at Parkhead.
Hutton insisted the centre-back’s future is the “biggest” talking point for the Bhoys ahead of the summer transfer window.

“The big one for me is what happens with Carter-Vickers? That’s the big question mark,” Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“He’s been a rock at the back, he’s made Carl Starfelt a better player.
“If he goes, that’s an almighty gap that you are going to have to fill.
“That’s the biggest, interesting point for me with this team moving forward. The Carter-Vickers one is the big one.”
Carter-Vickers made 45 appearances and scored four goals across all competitions during his loan spell.
He played the full 90 minutes in all but one of the Bhoys’ league fixtures.
In stark contrast, the defender has made just one appearance for Spurs since February 2017.
He has just five first-team appearances under his belt for the north Londoners.
