Celtic fans have been reacting on Twitter after the club was installed favourites to sign Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart in the summer transfer window.

SkyBet have priced the Bhoys at 3/1 to sign up the 30-year-old England international, however they could face competition from bitter rivals Rangers as they are also in the running at 7/1.

Hart is due to leave West Ham in a matter of weeks when his loan deal at the London Stadium expires.

The goalkeeper has been out on loan for the last two seasons after dropping down the pecking order at Man City, which was mainly down to Pep Guardiola’s decision to play a sweeper-keeper.

However Hart’s form has also been a major concern in the past 24 months having had an absolute shocker for England at Euro 2016 in which his blunder against Iceland saw his nation fall to what was arguably their most embarrassing defeat.

After Brendan Rodgers agreed a deal to sign Scott Bain permanent on Thursday, Celtic fans were left urging the club not to bother with signing Hart.

One even went so far to say that he “might suit the Gers” instead.

The Sun has previously reported that Hart, who earns £120,000-a-week, wants to “try his luck abroad” and leave the Premier League when his loan deal at West Ham expires at the end of the season.

In other Celtic news, Rodgers must make good on this transfer promise and sign an £8million-rated defender who blew away Lionel Messi.
