Celtic fans have been left raging at their board given the lack of movement in the transfer window as frustrations begin to grow.

So far this summer, Celtic have landed deals for two goalkeepers - Kasper Schmeichel and Viljami Sinisalo - to replace the outgoing Joe Hart and Benjamin Siegrist.

However, there is a feeling at Parkhead that Brendan Rodgers' squad still needs improving both in quality and depth.

Fans have often insisted the club are happy to simply be better than Rangers, and as long as they can achieve that goal, they won't spend big.

Given the state of things at Ibrox this summer, that ambition is not likely to prove difficult, enabling the board to do the bare minimum in the transfer market.

However, after recent humiliation in the Champions League, supporters are demanding improvements to help them hold their own in Europe.

Celtic fans rage at 'amateurish' board after new transfer twist

A total spend so far of just £1million, despite the squad looking notably weaker than it did at the end of last season, has raised concerns.

The lack of ambition and spending from the board in this summer's transfer window has ramped up pressure from supporters to improve and sign new players for Rodgers to work with.

As a result, the board has been branded "amateurish" and "a disgrace", warning of a "disaster" while more than one supporter insisted they would not be buying tickets.
