Celtic fans on Twitter have been left blown away by Stuart Armstrong for his performance in the match against Ross County which the Hoops won 3-0.

The 26-year-old midfielder was starting his first match in three months, after having a hernia operation and he dominated the match in an all-action display which impressed the Hoops supporters no end, with one supporter claiming that Armstrong was the “stand out player” in the match.

The Scotland international sealed a fine all-round performance with the Hoops’ second goal in the game.

Here are some of the best reactions to Armstrong’s performance against Ross County:

Armstrong played the best football of his career last season, scoring 17 goals from midfield and deservedly being nominated for player of the year.

This season he hasn’t been as influential, as poor form and injuries have restricted him to only five goals so far this season.

Perhaps the injury affected Armstrong far more than people thought, as he played much more like his old self against the side bottom of the Scottish Premiership table.

If Armstrong is able to keep up the level of form he showed in the match against Ross County, he could be a very influential player for the Hoops as they aim to make history by winning the domestic treble for a second successive season and he should keep his place in the team for the upcoming match against Dundee on Wednesday night.
