Celtic fans have mocked fierce rivals Rangers on Twitter after it was announced that promising youngster Billy Gilmour would be leaving the club for Chelsea on Tuesday.
The Ibrox club confirmed that the 15-year-old would be heading to the Premier League in a statement on their official website on Tuesday afternoon.
Popular broadcasters Sky Sports have reported that the fee is worth £500,000, which is considered relatively little in the modern era for a player of potential.
This has led to Celtic fans taking the opportunity to laugh at their Glasgow rivals once more this season after the news broke and many have alluded to the club asset stripping on social media.
One Hoops fan told that Rangers would now be able to keep the lights on at the club for a while longer, while others simply laughed.

Gilmour never played for the Rangers first team, but there were high hopes for him at the club following reports linking him to some of England’s biggest clubs throughout the season.
The deal has now only further highlighted the difference between Celtic and Rangers once more this season with the Hoops able to keep Michael Johnston, Craig Gordon and Kieran Tierney away from Chelsea in recent months, while Moussa Dembele could even remain at the club for the next campaign.
In other Celtic news, this 19-year-old interesting the Hoops is expected to sign a £25,000-a-week deal.
