By Matt Farr
Celtic skipper Scott Brown capped-off his 400th performance for the club with a dominant display over St. Johnstone on Wednesday – and fans were full of praise for his landmark achievement.
Brendan Rodgers’ side secured a priceless 1-0 victory courtesy of Dedryck Boyata’s second-half header, sending them 22 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The win also saw them extend their winning run in the league to 16 games, and equal the Lisbon Lions’ record of 26 domestic games unbeaten.
It was a dominant display from the home side, partly down to Brown’s unwavering midfield performance, making his presence known yet again on the pitch.
One moment of individual brilliance almost saw him cap-off the day with a goal, having waltzed past three St. Johnstone players and forcing a corner.

Brown still has a long way to go before he breaks the all-time appearance record of 822 by Billy McNeil. but he has still cemented his own place in the club’s decorated history.
During his near decade-long career at Parkhead, the Scotland international has lifted six Scottish Premiership titles, three League Cups, and two Scottish Cups.
He has also been named in the Scottish Premier League team of the year on three occasions.
