Celtic are reported to be closing in on the signing of 19-year-old midfield sensation Kouassi Eboue – and fans on Twitter are optimistic about what he can offer.
According to the Daily Record, a £2.5million fee has already been agreed between Celtic and Eboue’s current club FC Krasnodar, and personal terms have been discussed.
Eboue was pictured leaving Celtic Park on Wednesday following talks, but must wait for work permit clearance before he can officially sign.

Eboue is 19 years old and played every game for Krasnodor in the Europa league helping them reach the last 32. Of course its a good signing

Eboue seems a great prospect. IMO Van Dijk will be sold by saints this year. Celtic will gain revenue with the sell out clause. 3M is fine.

If Eboue is even near Wanyama 2.0……?

@dkmsean not seen any footage of the guy but must be decent if we’re willing to take a punt

@TamSelleckCSC Eboue joining as CDM surely ends Bittons sting. McGregor, Armstrong, Brown and now Eboue all ahead of him in that role.

Most Celtic fans admit they do not know much about their pending new signing, but the young Ivorian has already made a significant splash on the European scene.
From 18 appearances in all competitions for FC Krasnodar this season, Eboue has contributed one goal and two assists. He has become an important first-team player in Russia, and appeared in six of Krasnodar’s Europa League group-stage games earlier in the campaign.
If a deal gets pushed through in time, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers will be looking for Eboue to join up with his squad during their winter Dubai training camp, to help him integrate into the setup before Celtic’s next game against Albion in the Scottish Cup on 22 January.
In other Celtic news, the Hoops have joined the hunt for this much-coveted Championship midfielder.
