Troy Parrott has emerged as one of the most promising forwards in Europe this season as he continues to find the back of the net.

The 23-year-old striker currently plays for AZ in the Netherlands and has been on fire in the Eredivisie.

On top of this, Parrott became the Republic of Ireland’s hero at the end of 2025, as he netted five goals in two matches to ensure they reached the World Cup playoffs.

Now, with multiple Premier League sides eyeing Parrott, Celtic have emerged as a potential contender to win his signature.

Celtic just 6/1 to sign Troy Parrott

Celtic are in desperate need of a striker.

The Hoops’ toothlessness in attack has cost them multiple times already this season.

  • Parrott joined AZ in 2024
  • The striker was formely at Tottenham, but never broke into the first team despite a series of loans
  • Now Parrott is enjoying his best football of his career, and has already netted 19 goals for AZ this season

Now, the bookies believe that the Hoops could make a stunning swoop for Parrott before the transfer window closes.

Celtic are now just 6/1 to sign the striker, with Oddschecker on 15 January confirming that these odds have been slashed.

As a result, the Hoops are now the third favourites to sign the attacker, with the news coming after Parrott’s hattrick against Ajax in AZ’s 6-0 victory in the KNVB Cup.

Who is the current favourite to sign Parrott?

If Parrott is to move on from AZ this January, Stuttgart are the current favourites to acquire his signature.

The Bundesliga side are 7/2 to sign the Republic of Ireland attacker, followed by Leeds at 9/2.

Joint third favourites with Celtic are West Ham, who are continuing to struggle in the Premier League, and are in desperate need of firepower if they are to escape the drop zone.

A potential outsider is also Everton, who have had their own problems up top this season. Currently, the Toffees are 7/1 to sign Parrott.
