Kenny can't believe Howe 'hasn't signed' after official Celtic manager update
Celtic supporters will be “fighting a losing battle” if they are not patient with Eddie Howe when he is appointed manager at Parkhead.
That is according to ex-Premier League goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider after Celtic gave an official update on their managerial hunt.
In a statement addressing season ticket renewals, the club admitted it was “truly sorry” for the lack of success in 2020-21 and that they “intend to finalise the appointment of the next Celtic manager shortly.”
We had hoped to have announced the Manager before providing this update, however we must now begin the renewal process to allow us to prepare for a phased and safe return to Celtic Park for our supporters.

Neil Lennon resigned over 90 days ago and Howe has been the leading candidate for most of that time, going so far as to strike a verbal agreement in early April.
However, his mooted hire is yet to be confirmed and Football Insider understands that Celtic fear the appointment being hijacked by Crystal Palace.
Kenny insists there is “something not right” about the situation but urged the Celtic Park faithful to give Howe the benefit of the doubt if instated.

He told Football Insider correspondent Adam Williams: “It’s a tough one. Yet again, we don’t know why has he not signed.
“The season only finished last week. Maybe he was waiting for the season to finish before they announced it.
“But for me, there’s obviously something not right in the backroom. Obviously, if it was all there and agreed, surely you’d announce it.
“You need to get everyone onside with the manager and start preparing for next season.
“But if he does become manager, the fans have got to give him a chance. Otherwise, you’re fighting a losing battle from the start.”
